EH9 | Espresso X Flyswats and Buckethats
Flyswats and Buckehats teamed up with EH9 | Espresso to release a summer based capsule collection featuring T-shirts, bucket hats, side bags and totes.
The concept of the collaboration began at the start of the year where ourselves and EH9 started talking about the possibilities and options with releasing a collection. During this period we got to know each other pretty well and even participated in a pop-up event hosted at EH9 | ESPRESSO alongside Sakura Sport Clothing, which was another great experience and our first in person pop-up. Talks swiftly grew into planning and designing and before we knew it, an order had been placed. 15% of revenue generated was able to be donated to Wellbeing Work Dundee. A local charity whose mission it is to provide better wellbeing for those who face mental health challenges ❤️. In November 2022, after all stock was sold, we sat down together to make our donation. We are very thankful for everyone who bought an item from the collection and we love seeing how you all rock the items! Overall we were able to donate £374 to Wellbeing works and we couldn’t have done it without you!
This was such a great experience working alongside EH9, and it was fantastic to work with some very talented people who are passionate in what they doing. The whole idea planning phase was very enjoyable and allowed both brands to interoperate each other and bounce ideas of one-another, and the results just came out amazing. We even had some designs that didn’t make the cut (Might show them at some point). It was also a nice chance to finally release a buckethat. We had not been living up to our name without releasing one before but, a sliver lining was that it fit into the collection so nicely. A personal favourite was the T-shirt To-go, still a staple in our wardrobe, even through winter! We still see someone rocking the garms if we pop into EH9 or just out and about in Dundee which is always a great feeling to see the support from everyone.
This collection was the biggest that both teams had release to that date and helps to push us forward in the future.
